Small Towns Matter Too

Dear DNC,

We can’t win or build real change by focusing only on the big cities—every county matters. Each community, no matter its size, has people with hopes, struggles, and ideas worth hearing. Rural areas often face challenges that don’t make headlines but impact daily life—like job access, healthcare, education, and infrastructure. Ignoring those voices divides us; listening to them brings us together. Every voter deserves to feel seen, valued, and included in the vision we’re fighting for.

When we reach out to all counties, we strengthen our democracy from the ground up. People are more likely to show up and stay engaged when they believe their vote truly counts. By organizing and showing up everywhere—not just where the crowds are—we build trust and momentum that lasts beyond one election. Grassroots energy doesn’t come from the top down; it grows when neighbors talk to neighbors and communities see that their concerns matter.

Our movement is about unity, not numbers on a map. Every conversation, every handshake, and every doorstep visit in a small county can make as big a difference as a rally in a city. Let’s commit to visiting every county, meeting people where they are, and proving that we stand for all of us—urban, suburban, and rural alike. Together, we can create a future that represents every corner of our state and ensures no one is left behind.
